What's Next for P.A.I.R.: Listening, Sharing, and Learning
As P.A.I.R. continues to unfold, it’s stepping into an exciting new part of the mapping and need analysis. This part is all about open conversations, local voices, and collaborative learning.
From Questionnaires to Open Conversations
Following the completion of a series of dedicated questionnaires - aimed at individuals with disabilities, artists and cultural professionals and representatives from institutions or advocacy groups - P.A.I.R. now shifts into a more hands-on step. This part of the process is designed to deepen our understanding of how accessibility and inclusion are experienced within the cultural landscape. Beyond tangible results, this process will also foster trust, mutual understanding, and meaningful connections among diverse voices within each cultural and social context.
Focus Groups and Interviews Begin
Over the next few weeks, focus groups and one-on-one interviews will be held in Athens, Nicosia, and Tartu, coordinated by the project’s three partners: liminal (Greece), Alternative Brains Rule (Cyprus) and the Estonian Agrenska Foundation (Estonia). Each organization is leading activities locally while bringing their own knowledge, networks, and cultural perspectives to the shared effort.
These open conversations aim to:
- Foster dialogue between disabled people, cultural organizations, arts professionals and organizations for the rights of people with disabilities
- Map local needs and surface insights into barriers to participation
- Highlight preferences and priorities around inclusive cultural experiences
- Identify shared challenges and open space for future collaboration
Through these conversations, P.A.I.R. hopes to understand both the visible and hidden challenges of inclusion in the arts, while gathering creative ideas for a new sustainable and inclusive model of artistic development. Stay tuned for updates as we continue listening, learning, and shaping a more inclusive cultural future.
